In the rush to be different from everyone else they prove how much the are the same.
When I was a kid in highschool I did a social experiment. I pierced my nose. No one else in school had a pierced nose. Within a month there were no less than 6 people with pierced noses. At the end of that month I removed the piercing, and watched the snowball gain mass. It is amazing how everyone wants to stand out, to set themselves apart from others. In the end what sets you apart has very little to do with the physical. Most people want to fit in with some clic. That is what our DNA tells us to do. The faster we run from the pack the quicker we run into another.

We used to judge weird by the tooth to tatoo ratio...now it is how many grams of metal you have in your face.

I'll second the above notion of earhole to earhole piercing of a .45cal nature and just to show I'm all heart...I'll gladly donate the first 500 "piercing" cartridges to this worthy cause!!

Portland is a weird town. I was born in Portland, did my last three years of HS there. Got out of the Army in '69, looked around, and beat feet to Wyoming.
My kids live there and I make a pilgrimage every year for a family get together. Seems like every year was worst then the year before.

My friends son has now what I like to call Vagina ears. He stretched out to those huge ear rings. Now, he's barely making his house payment and can't get a decent paying job anywhere. Business after business turns him down for employment. Washington is a hire and fire at will state. The employers have told him, they don't want him around their customers based on his looks. He now realizes he should have thought twice before mutilating his body. I have a hard time feeling sorry for him. He's a good kid, but he felt like he had to "fit in". Sad really.
Why not just get regular teeth whitening procedures instead of installing a "Toothbrush Access Port"?
Is it weird that the first thing I think of when I see this stupid stuff is how much damage they are gonna endure from a single punch? One set of knuckles in the mouth and these fools would be disfigured for life when their lip rips in half...oh wait, they already paid money to get disfigured- never mind.
