I recently saw these and been looking to get a set to try out. The theory of them working better than a punch jag is there.

Need to be male 8/32 threads, I have a tipton carbon rod.

What caliber? I may have one here I could let go.

And yes they are amazing.

.22lr .223 .308 mainly. I found the dewily (sp) ones but the description gives the vibe of it being some cheap-non working-chinese copy.

Looking at brownell's The .22 cal saids "Caliber: 22 Caliber (.223-.224), 243/6 mm (.243)"

Could you use this for .22lr?

Thanks I didn't know since you wrap the patch around the jag vs punchin it in the center. I was unsure if the patch wrapped around jag and it being for .22 would still go through a .22lr, since .22 is smaller than .223 by a few thou.

Another thing, what patches do guys use? I tired windchester cheap-o walmart and the are OK. Just didn't know if something else was better out there. Tried hoppes and they blow.

I recently switched over to P-H style jags on the advice of the guys at Accurate Ordinance. Mine came from Brownells, are Dewey brand and work very well.
I got a 22, 24, and 30 caliber. My barrels have never been cleaner.

The difference is so slight that you are more likely to have issues with different patch thicknesses than the Jag it self

I like the Kleen bore line and use the 2 1/4" with the Parker Hale jag in .30. A nice snug fit, nothing on the end and wrap it tight on the jag. The 1 3/4 work in a pinch.

I know they say .38-.45 cal, guessing if used on a pierce type.

Interesting. Do you use the Parker Hale jag for any other calibers? If so what size patch do you use?

What I'm getting at is makes me think one would need to go up one patch size to get a nice fit. I searched for about 45 minutes last night one the size patches guys were using (if using ones makr for their caliber or upping one size) couldn't really find anything on the subject.

I only have the .30 one. Remember, if you get the really thick patches, you would need to go down a size. The combo I use is perfect in .30. You can always get the PH jag in other calibers you need and cut a larger patch to see what works best then order that size required in bulk. In the combo I have, not only is it a snug fit diameter wise, the bearing surface is longer giving me more cleaning per pass.

Actually, try the Sinclair tab on the Brownell's website. Sinclair has a larger selection. Kind of dumb to have their search engine set up like that. Then again, their whole website is strange.

Yup! They stock quite alot of various items, competitively priced and have numerous coupons. The only thing is I hear complaints about customer service, but I have yet to experience any issues.
