I would like to hear of any accurate loads you have found using the 175 grain Sierra Match King bullet in the 308 (7.62x51).

43.5 grains Varget, Lapua Brass, Federal 210M primer.

Seated as long as will fit in the magazine. Reming factory barrel/chamber.

44.2 varget. Cci br2 primer, Lapua brass (fire formed as new isn't as accurate) .336 neck, 2.173 ogive. I think it's a 2.878oal?

I also have had great luck with federal brass. Same load.

Note: the new lapua shows slight pressure signs with 175smk. I fire form with the same powder charge but a lighter bullet. Then no problems after that.

44.0 grains of Varget, 210M primer, Winchester brass, seated so that it is just touching the lands in my Savage. Usually good for .5 moa or less at 100 yards if I'm doing my part.

I think it depends on the rifle. What works great in my 10BA does not shoot well in my 12 F/TR. You can read some good starting points in the stickys but you have to find one that works well for your rifle.

Above are good places to start.

44.7 Varget, FGMM primer and Lapua brass.
It has shot very accurately in all but one of my many 308 rifles.

What velocity are you getting? What barrel length?

I am at 43.5, so OCW says the next higher node would be at 44.8

For 20" REPR- 41gr varget in LCLR 7.62x51 case. 210M, 175 gr SMK. 2450 FPS
