Hey guys like the title says I was wondering if I can use my savage 111 long action for a 6.5 creedmoor build o have a choate stock that's inletted for my DBM and wild like to use that and not single feed the gun will be target only

I could go 260 but I do not reload yetis my only issue but I will be at some point and I know hornady makes factory ammo , just mostly wondering about feeding issues from the mag

Thanks

Ok, I'll bite. Other than having the long action, why would you want the 6.5 creedmoor in a long action? Might as well go to the 6.5-284 with that platform. Not saying it wouldn't work, it would shoot great, but you miss the beauty of a sa cartridge when you put it in a la.

It will feed and function just fine from the Savage long action magazine. My first 260 was built on a staggerfeed 110 long action that started life as a 270 Win, and I had zero problems.

And as my signature line shows, I built a 223 Ackley on a 110 long action. Works just fine.

What DBM are you planning to use?

Hello thanks for the recommendation for the 6.5x284 but that isn't the barrel life I am looking for..
