Just wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with either of these two rings? I finally convinced my wife to let me buy a NXS 5.5-22X56 (only took 5 years!)and need new rings. Which ones would you get? I don't have the scope here yet, but was told 1" high rings will be ideal. Is this true? Scope is going on a Remington 700P in a AICS. Thanks all.

I would go with Barrett Zero Gap rings, but may be overkill! They do work well. Would also recommend an Accuracy First level, if you're going to do it right the first time!

1" height should work fine with the 56mm objective. I use it on my S&Bs with 56mm objectives.

As to type, I would take the Badger over the Barrett having owned both. That said, have you looked at Seekins Precision?

OK thanks all. I just did some measuring and think I may have to go higher than 1" with the rings according to the scope ring hight sticky on the top of the page here.

I run Barrett zero-gap lows rings 1" with my Bors setup and I love them. tied in with a 20 moa base with Leupold MK4 8.5-25X50mm. My 1" rings are really low that's all I can say.
