A while back I made a post about a problem I was having with my Spectre II suppressor. In a nutshell, the suppressor mount was about .020" longer than spec, causing crushing of the o-ring SilencerCo designed into the mount by to reduce carbon fouling of the threads. In my ignorance, I ran a tap up the endcap thinking I had a bad thread and buggered the o-ring. I contacted Andrew at SiilencerCo who told me what the problem likely was and to send the end cap to him. Today I got a new endcap in the mail, gratis. This is customer service above and beyond in this day and age, and will make me a loyal customer of SilencerCo; an Osprey is my next purchase. Thank you Andrew and SilencerCo.

I really wish they would include more thorough instructions/warnings in regard to this type of stuff. Their thread spec sheet should be included in each box, along with a little blurb about avoiding things like you've experienced.

Despite warnings and conversations with my customers, I've had several run into basic issues like this. Obviously their service is good, but a lot of it could be avoided by helping to educate the end user. :)

X2 they are on the ball!! I had a couple questions for them when I got mine and answered em asap!

SilencerCo / SWR will be the only suppression stuff I buy going forward. They sure have been VERY good to me. I have three of their cans now, and will be looking to get a 4th and 5th here pretty soon. Their customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. Period.

TBAC is right there with them!

Agreed, and I mentioned this to Andrew. My Spectre II didn't have any warning labels on any of the packaging. It never even occurred to me that there might be an issue with the length of the adapter or muzzle threads. One of the weapons I ran into a problem with was my Colt AR 22 trainer with the muzzle threaded 1/2-28 from the factory. Nonetheless, SilencerCo was immediately responsive to my problem, and considering the quality and multiple applications of this suppressor, I'm chocking it up to a learning experience that may save me problems in the future. That being said, a sticker with a big "STOP - THREAD LENGTH CRITICAL SEE INSTRUCTIONS" would stop eager beavers like me from running into these problems. Still, two thumbs up to Andrew and SilencerCo.
