Hey guys,

I currently have a Larue SPR 1.5 mount for my AR's that I would like to transfer over to use on a Remington 700.
My only concern is that with this mount, the barrel bore axis to the scope distance will be too high affecting the line of sight. I would like to use this mount if possible.

I've read that I can purchase a different set of rings from larue for this mount, is this true?

Not my image, but I would imagine the setup to look something like this with the larue mount: http://i.imgur.com/IoNPv.jpg

Thanks!

If you don't have an adjustable cheek piece I imagine the Larue mount would put the scope too high.

I had my NXS in the LT-104 on my Savage and ended up selling it because it was so high, with my cheekpiece all the way up I didn't have cheek weld.

I used the LT104 on my 700 with a NF scope and AICS. Although it was pretty high, the adjustable cheek piece made it workable. The think that KILLED me was the eye relief. Because the 104 moves the scope forward some, I had trouble having adequate LOP and getting a good sight picture at the same time. I switched it out for the lt120, with no cantilever, and it sits lower too.

I forgot to add that you should expect the LT-104 to peel the finish off the side of your scope base/ rail.

Thanks for all the replies! Looks like I will be shopping for some 30mm rings and putting this mount up for sale.

Any recommendations for 30mm rings that will fit a scope with a 50mm objective?
