I am needing some insight into my ocw results. The load is berger 175 otm, varget powder, lapua brass, cci 200 primers with bullets seated .020 off the lands.

Not seeing any pressure signs. Should I run a load at 45.3gr? Should I try to tweak the load around 44.7? Any help would be appreciated.

Damn brother! You've got two bullets touching on almost every group! Weird that you have that one flier on almost every one!

Not much difference in your poi between groups. The last 3 groups look like they all have the exact same poi. I'd got with 44.7 and work from there.

It seems kind of odd that I would get only one flyer for all my scatter nodes. I did not realize the 3% between accuracy nodes, which is pretty cool. Thanks for the info.

I don't understand how everyone makes these "scientific" calls based off these results. I bet if you pick one load and shoot 9 groups of only that load, it will give you similar results. Am I totally wrong?

You need to read dan Newberry's information and the optimal barrel time theory etc. Also look up Erik Cortina's thread from accurateshooter.com These theory's or methods to the madness help explain why FGMM is so darn good and almost every rifle!

I am waiting to do my tests as soon as the weather gets warmer. Its still freezing here in Erie. Funny because my magic load so far is 44.7 grains of Varget as well.

Yeah, read both of them. Tried them both. Sometimes that "magic load" will stack holes, sometimes it wont. Just like FGMM, I cant always shoot .5moa groups, sometimes its 1moa sometimes its .2moa. If I took a box of FGMM my target would look just like travbob's and that is using the same load every time. I guess I could also find multiple nodes on that target as well. I'm just trying to learn like travbob.

No to hijack the thread, but I want to learn as well. So where is the node on this one? 45gr looked good but not the same results when I shot it again.
