Just wanted to share some pics after I picked up my rifle from Predator in Cleveland, TN
They really did an awesome Cerakote job!

He charges $225 which I thought was not bad considering he torn the rifle completely down bead blasted, cleaned and then coated.

I just look at the invoice and the black is Armor Black and he is calling the Burnt Bronze (Flat) so its probably his on mix.

I have done alot of Burnt Bronze Cerakote. It's a killer color. I do like adding a touch of black to make it darker. BTW you don't bead blast for Cerakote you use Aluminum Oxide. Bead blasting pounds the surface with glass beads which effectively seals the surface and the coating does not adhear well. AO does the opposite by etching the surface which promotes adhesion.

Nice rifle. Your applicator did a great job for the money.

Your right he used AO not bead.

Predator Custom Actions in Knoxville TN. did the work for me, he just called it Burnt Bronze Flat, he didn't tell me how much black he added.

That turned out really nice.

So, the guy disassembles and then reassembles the rifle when he paints?

It's almost worth the price just so you don't have to mess with that whole process.

Yea I have shot the piss out of this thing and have treated it pretty rough, had lots of surface scratches. I looked into cerakoting myself but after seeing the process and time it takes I decided to let someone else that knows what their doing take care of it.

Just about all the scratches are gone and it really looks and feels great. It was a hard decision but well worth it.
