I'm trying my hand at my first trigger swap. I pulled the hammer spring n removed hammer; pulled the trigger pin... but the darn thing won't come out no matter how i try to manipulate it? Does the handguard, fire select have to come out? Appreciate any info, sorry for the newb question. Thanks

Got a brand new SSA-E trigger here waiting to go in

I watched that exact video even before I purchased the trigger. It doesn't help me.... my trigger will NOT come out because it hangs up on the safe/fire cam by a lot! Now to figure out what I need to do to remove that... and I checked I don't have nice long allen t-handles to remove grip. I'll have to buy me a set of those tomorrow just to have around.

back to google I guess?!

If you can't finesse the trigger out, remove your pistol grip carefully (there's a spring and detent in there for the selector/safety), then remove the selector/safety. You will now have free clearance to remove the trigger.

It won't come out with the selector switch turned to fire or safety position? Mine came right out of my Colt LE6920 M4 after I removed the two pins.

Nope the Armalite AR-10A4's triggers will not come out with just the two pins pulled. Your gonna laugh; but guys who are doing this in the future... buy a set of long T-handle allen wrench sets. I got lucky as i used a magnetic quick change tipped screw driver set, set the removable tip in the allen stock for the grip via needle nose pliers... then used the extra 1/4" length to get that allen screw loose on the grip since my screwdriver was just a little bit short. After I pulled the grip and safe/fire selector; my trigger came right out! :) Got new trigger/hammer in no problem. I did multiple safe/fire tests on it to be sure everything was in right. Re-assembled rest of gun and ready to hit the range this 3 day weekend!

Next project will be get daniels defense drop in 2 piece quad rail for RRA M-4; and mount my laser genetics ND to it; already have trijicon night iron sites on it for some night time predator dispatching!

the Laser Designator really does light up animals eyes like in this video. My brother and I took just white spot light and my ND out looking for animals one night... no guns. He found an 8 point deer with his white light standing in 3-5' tall grass..... I asked him if he saw the other 5 deer 20 ft behind the buck? He said no..... then he looked down my laser designator and was like, "wow, I never saw all the rest of them!" You just have to be careful of your state laws using them folks. My father has land n raises black angus cows, has calves on ground year round and has a kitty with a 3' tail roaming around area. I want to keep that M4 quick, fast, and light. Yeah ar-10 would probably be better knock down power, but I'm pretty good with the m4 irons. Great site here folks, hope my stumblings can help someone else out.
