CZ455 Tacticool ?'s

Ok so I think I've moved in from the 10/22 idea. I'm now putting some serious thought into the Tacticool. Any one have one? What kind if accuracy are you getting? Which ammo?

I opted against cuz of the Boyd's stock, especially when I found a CZ455 in a Manners chassis for $695 (very lightly used)

I'm thinking along the same lines for a new rifle this spring.

A factory cz 455 should shoot .5"-1" 5 shot groups at 50 yards with the ammo the rifle likes. You can get one that shoots better if you get lucky but I myself haven't seen one do better than .5" with no mods.

if someone has the tacticool on any of their rimfires and a choate tactical on any of their centerfires, how do they compare dimensionally and in feel (grip angle, size, weight, etc.)? i'd like change oout of the AICS airsoft rig to clone my newest cfire rig that wears the choate tactical. by putting the pictures side by side they look very comparable.

Top. Can not speak for everyone but I like the tacticool on my brother inlaw cz455
most all the cz at the TSC match use them,
as far as feeling the same as a choate i can not say

Had a Savage in the Tacticool. It was OK but was really much too light to stand in for a centerfire (and definitely much smaller and lighter in every dimension compared to the Choate).
I've seen in different places where they say the Tacticool is made from laminated wood. The one I had was most absolutely NOT laminated. In fact, it looked like they inletted an uncured, warped blank and then dried it so it could warp some more.

Find the least expensive 455 Varmint you can get you hands on and put it in a McMillan M40A22. And then beg the Nat. Guard guy you may or may not know to make you a kydex cheek-piece. Done and done.

The color job on that stock is freakin sweet!!!!! Did it come that way or?

Thanks. Ordered it in molded-in marble with dark green, light green, and medium brown.

I had a Savage in a tacticool for a while. I couldn't get close to a cheekweld until I added an adjustable cheek piece. The stock is very light. Unlike another poster, mine seemed to be of decent quality with no warping. Fit to the action was good.
