    Hey guys,
I'm about to get a new rifle and I've got a rather dumb/odd question. The new rifle is a Surgeon 591 with a Manners T4. I'm wondering if it is possible to convert a T4 to a T4A at a reasonable price. I'm not having much luck finding a T4A for a Surgeon 591 (other than ordering a new one).

Depending if its a standard or carbon stock it is possible. Contact 'stockdoc' on here, that's his cup of tea. He does a great job and price is very reasonable.

PM Tom at Manners, they may be able to do it too.

Cool, thanks Punisher. I would take that TF4A off your hands if I got a hold of that Alpha 11, but that didn't work out.

Add another vote from a satisfied Stockdoc customer. It made my MacMillan a whole new stock, and he uses kmw loggerhead riser so it's hardware that you can trust as well

It seems fairly straightforward but when I called to order the hardware from kmw, they recommended that it be done by an experienced gunsmith. He actually pointed me to Stockdoc suggesting that it is much more difficult than it would appear

I contacted Manners last spring about this, as T4s were in stock at Stocky's, but T4As were a long wait.

The answer was NO. They use different molds.

They can add the adjustable length of pull to a stock later though.

I have PM'ed Stockdoc. Awaiting a reply. Anyone have any pictures of his work? I'm curious.

    I appreciate everyone's input!

How much higher do you need the comb? I would check with Manners before you had anyone cutting into their stock.

Rob, this is more of an inquiry. I don't actually have the rifle yet. I should have it next week. It also depends on which optic goes on it. If I have to throw my bushy on it I will likely need quite a bit. but we shall see. I was more on the curious side of just wondering if it can be done.

If its just a little a stock back will likely get ordered.

Might not be as much as you think. Manners have nice high combs. A stock pack might be all you need.
