The guys from Silencerco and Afalex1 came down to my place this weekend to do some hog control. Right at the very start we found a lone boar under a feeder. Everyone lined up for the count down and I couldn't help but giggle that poor boar had IR lasers all over him! 3-2-1-fire the thuds from the bullets way overpowered the sound of the shots! First hog down and everyone was all smiles.

Nine hours later we spotted out next two hogs. As we were stalking the boars changed course and headed right for us! There is something about the Silencerco guys the hogs like. Every single time I have hunted with them now the hogs run to us not away from us! With them coming right for us they spread out and took aim while I'm recording the whole thing on the w1000. 3-2-1-fire both hogs drop side by side at the same time. The right one is spinning around spewing blood It was glorious on the thermal! I looked down to review it no dvr it came out in the rush uggh.......

The next night we hunted from sundown to 7am not one single hog spotted. In fact there was not much of anything moving except about 1000 deer and twice that many skunks. They did manage to help me out with the raccoon problem it was great fun standing back listening to the suppressed rifles and the thuds of the bullets striking their targets.

They were all great down to earth guys and it was a pleasure to hunt with them. All of them seemed to have a great time even though we only saw and killed 3 hogs. They are really focusing on how they can help hunters and have some great ideas. I'm still bummed out about the lack of hogs myself but that's hunting I suppose. The weekend before the hogs were everywhere. And the night before I scouted for about a hour and saw almost 20.

A little gun and NV porn for you guys.

So what were they shooting? Looks like the Saker 762 suppressor with standard AR 15 mags 300blk or 6.8?

Looking fwd to some more hunting videos.

Looks like some good times there, a hog with three IR lasers on him is not long for this world! LOL

It was full moon out here very clear and bright this weekend, got a couple of smaller hogs and had the coyotes yelling and screaming but they would not commit.

Then Sunday morning I woke up for breakfast and four coyotes were roaming around the backyard....bummer.

OP, where are you located at??

I'm in the DFW area we were hunting my place in Limestone county. Normally the hogs everywhere they have been hitting all my feeders nightly. Then this weekend nothing, even they coyotes were hiding. I thought it might be the full moon or the rapid weather change. We had highs in the low 20's with ice all week then to the highs in the 70's on Friday and Saturday. I also found out they did a hunting hogs with dogs contest last week they only caught 15 but no telling how far they chased the hogs. Of course when I was closing the gate to leave I see 15 hogs running across the pasture yesterday at high noon. But that's hunting sometimes.

Well I'm in the el paso area. If i ever get a chance to come to the dfw area will let you know if you'll have me for some hog hunts!

Dang, I was hoping for a very interesting story about hog hunting in Nevada...now that would be something.

That being said, night vision and hogs sounds like a lot of fun.
