Rayners 2014 February 22nd & 23rd
First Long Range Match of the season, hope to see a lot of new faces there this year. Rayners is a fantastic place to shoot with a bunch of great guys to shoot with. Looking forward to another great season.

Looking forward to it. There is a USPSA pistol match there on the 16th, so I'll be there that weekend as we'll if the weather doesn't suck too badly.

shovel me a place to shoot prone for the following weekend :)

Range is currently snow covered, but not deep and easy enough to get around with an appropriate vehicle. Forgot my camera. Tom's got some of the targets hung a bit differently and also made a few "sucker plates" for some of the positions, or bonus point plates ...... however you view them. Not sure if any of the new targets will be up, but he has been busy.

Can't wait to see the changes. Looking forward to talking Zac in to some small targets!

Cabin fever big time, planning in being there as long as the boys bb tourmant doesn't conflict. Is it wrong to root for the other team tonight? Lol

Great match this weekend , what about that turnout for a Feb. match , FANTASTIC !!!

this was my first scored event,i had a great time.very windy on saturday but my magnum cut thru it enough for top score on sat.i look forward to more events at rayners

I saw the results on the web site, thanks for posting them so quickly - goal for next month is to break into the top half. I'm curious though how the wind compared on Saturday and Sunday. Any chance of seeing the results with the day indicated (so I can compare against other Saturday shooters, maybe feel a bit better :) )

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the top score for Saturday was 305 and some really good shooters were in the high 200's Saturday. So that might give you an idea of where you would have placed if both days were equal wind wise.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith were both on fire! Nice shooting...

Saturdays wind was almost 3times as bad compared to sunday i was told.i compared scores of shooters who shot both days and on average, most were 35-45 points higher on sunday.i wish now i would have shot sunday instead as i would shot alot better than my 305

they cheat:)

No more cookies for you!!!!!

Next time bring something bigger then the Daisy Red Ryder you brought, and you might have a chance. We would have helped you out on the wind calls but your BB gun dope is a little different then ours. Lol!

thats how you cheat. . . .you bring cookies and that's all we think about and don't pay attention to
the wind, and everybody helps ya so you come back with more cookies:). O btw good shooting. . . .
you to mr smith, we just need to push you into going for more small targets!
and i like my red ryder, it's my favorite i got it for xmas last year and damn near shot my eye out.

I was trying for the small ones but that was about all it was! Trying. Should have been there sat Bob.

To be clear I wasn't in any way trying to insinuate that the shooters on Sunday had an easier go of it, to be honest I didn't even know how different the wind was (I was back in Pittsburgh). But I'm an enginerd, so I like numbers, and was just curious how I placed within the Saturday group, since that was all I was able to observe (and only a part of that group). Thanks for the feedback though about the top Saturday score.

I'd still love to see the Saturday / Sunday results broken out separately. On the other thread the numbering was different than at Rayner's page, and I first I thought it was just one day or another, then realized it was the full field. I think in such a condition-dependent competition that it would be informative to have the results for each day reported, even if they are ultimately combined. If the information is available but the organizers prefer that it not be made public to minimize ruffling of feathers I'd still like to see them by PM to satisfy my own curiosity.

Hopefully there will be something to note whether shooters shot on Sat. or Sun. in the future posting of scores. I talked to Carolyn today and she is working on it. I wouldn't expect any past matches to be sorted, but may be able to do so on the future ones.
