Why are these so hard to find? Does S&W actively keep magazine manufacturers out of the game? I see that ProMag makes magazines for the M&P but they're nearly as hard to get. I guess I'm just wondering why no one has stepped up to the plate to make them, it seems like there would be money in it.

Between my M&P 9c, Shield 9 and full size M&P45 its a challenge. This is where my local shop has actually been good as they have been able to find them. Not often and not inexpensive but they are out there. But at this point they are not selling CA compliant pistols here so there should be more for the rest of you.
As an aside, I saw a Shield for $750 with DROS and tax on top of that.......someones makin' money on that.

I got an email today from Quantico Tactical saying they have them in stock. I haven't checked the website, but just read the email.
The shield mags just came back in stock at midway.
Quantico Tactical seems the place to get em. Bud's sometimes sell mags too
44 mag has them.
This one thing that midwayusa does well. I waited a couple of months to get mp9 mags after the craze. They eventually showed up. Just nice to order and forget about it for a while
It takes a little snooping to sort out the different calibers and models, but this should help anyone looking for them.

When I need magazines, I go to Greg Cote, LLC. Like others, his stock fluctuates and with more states going to lower capacity magazines, the 10 rounders can be hard to come by. His prices are fair and he ships very quickly.
If any of you fella's need MP45 mags let me know I have a few lightly used i can/could part with.
