A company that goes by the catchy name of Flir One has just released a $350 iPhone 5 & 5s add-on they call the (equally-catchy) Flir One, that adds thermal imaging to your iPhone's camera. It supposedly registers temps from 32°F to 212°F.

here.

So it occurs to me that you also can attach your iPhone to your rifle scope with a device like the $100 Inteliscope mount. Put the two of them together and you've got the world's least expensive thermal vision rifle scope. Granted it isn't MilSpec, but it could be adequate for night varmint or predator hunting. Or in a pinch, home defense. Or just killing those pesky midnight zombies.

I'm thinking I might have to switch to an iPhone.

FlirOne has very, very low resolution thermal, 120x80px or so.

We at Inteliscope are now reselling the FLIR ONE and we will be working with their SDK to integrate into our existing app. Stay tuned.
