I don't know why the state's need permission to cut planned parenthood funding. Governors just need to grow some balls and quit taking federal funds And then do what the fu ck they want when they want to. The state are so dependent on federal funds they sacrifice all of their state's rights. Make no mistake, the federal government has very little power over the state's except for the power of the purse, the state's just don't flex their constitutional muscles anymore.
the gov needs to direct senators to vote against any funding for other states. Hold your Gov accountable for the senators actions.
The flip side of that are the states that have no issue fighting the feds for other things. Like legalizing MJ. Or gun laws...

The problem with the state's and gun laws is the constitution gives us the right to bear arms and that's a right that the federal government is supposed to enforce, it's actually in the constitution. Any powers not given to the feds in the constitution are left to the state's. The state's are just chicken shits. Where in the constitution does it give the feds the right to illigalize weed? It should be left up to the state's to regulate as the constitution provides. And within the state any employer has the right to fire your ass for testing positive for weed. The constitution works. But when you give welfare to dopers why do they need to hold down a job and live a decent life.
Its a shame because the liberal governors tell the Feds to stick it all the time with sanctuary cities etc.
Yeah! This! It seems states like New Jersey can do what they want in regards to weapon and mag regulation, yet when it comes to things like planned parenthood they have to have permission for funding issues? Well then again, the planned parenthood funding comes from the feds so...yeah.
What PeterPan said is correct. The states are seduced by the Federal money, and that gives the federal government power over the states. Money for politicians is like heroin to a junkie.
