Rimfire Rifle Photos Thread

Does Evelio McDonald work at Carolina Precision Rifle?

No..Evrlio is in TX iirc. Better known on steel chickens, at least that's how I found him...sorta

I think CPR is no longer..sold and became Valahala(?)..iirc they moved to Aiken SC....I dont live in that area any longer.

Cz455 precision trainer painted the manners black so it would stand out since theres usually 5-10 rifles at each nrl22 match that are nearly identical lol

A little different.
1966 High Standard Tournament.
I sent this to Dave Sams, Dave is a former AMU gunsmith and noted bullseye gun builder. Dave went threw the gun squaring this and deburring that. Did a trigger job, stippled the front and back straps and finished it in a bead blast blue.
From a casual rest, with CCI SV it will shoot into the X ring of that B16 target at 25yds...well, when my eyes are up to it.

Hey all, new to the forum... this is my V22 in MPA comp chassis, TT Diamond tigger, and the scope off my CZ which will be replaced fairly soon soon (it's a Sig Tango4 4-16 in a "way too tall for this gun" badger mount :) )

sharp looking stick

2 questions for you

why/what is the blue tape ribbon on the grip for?
from the looks of it the bubble level on the chassis doesnt work so well because i see one on the scope anyway

It’s blue paint around the grip. Some fools like me enjoy putting “thin blue lines” on stuff. Look it up and all will be clear.
There is a level on the chassis, and I put one on my scope also. Personal preference for the most part

Another couple recent purchases with capabilities. I'm sure the Winchester 52 can do better. It was windy but I couldn't help myself. The other is a Kimber Model 82 SVT single shot made in Oregon, only made one year, 1997.

I originally ordered this V-22 bbl'd action with an 18" Ranch contour bbl, which shot great, but decided I wanted a longer, slightly heavier bbl, so ordered in a Krieger #4 sporter, turned the shank down to 1.150", chambered it with a PTG EPS reamer, and finished it at 22", threaded the muzzle, and installed it on the V-22 action. Had to sand the last 4" of the Manners EH-2's bbl channel a bit wider - very minor amount. Already had aluminum pillars glued-in; did a full bedding job with Marine Tex, and have been very pleased with the accuracy since, with an Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50.

Not sure what's going on with my 22TD suppressor - I've shot it on the other two V-22s & this one with the original ACE bbl with great results, but since it rolled off my portable bench and landed on concrete, accuracy with it hasn't been the same. I called and got a RTA to send it in for inspection, then held off for a few days to do more shooting with it. The results with a known good lot of SK Rifle Match on the attached photo shows I need to go ahead & get it sent back to TBAC.

What happened to the pictures??????

Probably got reverse warped into the "Schott" glass clarity vortex, it's a tough phenomena to escape from when improperly posted.

Late replying, never seen the photos.

Here's something different for you folks: an old photo of my Walther KK300. I've since added a Starik carbon tuner tube and made a custom cheekpiece and handgrip. I'll make a post about it soon.

This rifle is shot with a sling only. The bipod is just meant for standing the rifle up.

Thanks Mike! I really enjoy shooting irons and the bloop tube has really helped with my sight picture. I also shoot irons in any/any matches (scopes allowed) and find that I shoot irons as well as with a scope. It makes me work that much harder for my position and a consistent NPA.

I am having a Barnard barreled action in 308 built up for this rifle's stock to make this into a palma rifle. I look forward to sharing this when it's ready.

Thanks reubenski.

The hammer price for the one above was $900, by the time I paid all the fees and shipping it was $1,087 when received. To me, it was money well spent. The one below was purchase at a pawn shop for $750 OTD. It is missing the front sight hood, rear sight blade and the original 11mm dovetail. Both are the same except the front and rear sights are totally different. The $750 one has a Williams rear sight base. I removed the base and it looks better since it was incomplete anyway. The Williams was factory and I was surprised Sako would use a sight like that. The second one has the type of rear sight I would expect. Both front sights are fine, just different, the $750 has a gold bead and the other has a square post. I'm saying all this just to educate people that there are differences in these two rifles. S/N's are 635 numbers apart with the Williams sighted one being the oldest. Accuracy wise, both are accurate to me and I would be hard pressed to say which is best. I do believe the one, won at auction has the nicest wood.

Man you got a pile of 22's ,. dont you

Well I am old, been around for awhile and have picked up a thing or two over the years.

22 LR pistols, not all of them but the ones I been shooting lately. I no longer have the Uberti revolver or the Colt Woodsman.

22 collection.jpg

AK's. Least favorite is the Saiga. From left to right are, modified Molot Vepr, stock Vepr, modified Saiga, stock Saiga, Arsenal SAM7SF and round out is the fantastic Norinco MAK 90.

45 ACP minus my Dan Wesson Valkyrie and CZ 97B. My least favorite is the FN.

CZ and Dan Wesson. The CZ 75 Shadow is my favorite all time centerfire pistol.

Here are a few 9mm. I need to update all my photos as I have added and released some.

Sig collection minus a few.

Only two revolvers I have.

I need to update all my photos. For insurance and theft purposes I highly recommend everyone taking photos and recording S/N's for all your firearms. These photos serve a purpose, not necessarily for show and tell.

If anyone has questions about any of these feel free to ask. They all get shot, no safe queens here.
