We should be growing our own.

They know the young ones are fully indoctrinated with the new Socialism and climate religion.

They will look at killing us as saving the planet.

The israeli's start training their fighter pilots at 14 or 15... or at least used to.

If you want to see a rather fascinating movie about the topic, watch "Enders Game." Science Fiction, but a great deal of science fact in it as well.

Lots of countries are happy to have kids as soldiers. With no training and paid with drugs, alcohol and rape-victims. If organized and properly channeled, young adults (and that's what 16 year olds are, despite the modern parenting faggotry) can make exemplary soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines.

Is it for everyone. Nope. But it's certainly falls within the realm of 'worth considering.' I'd head through a door with a 16 year old country boy or farm kid over some Harvard PhD butt-pirate any day.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Indeed, we all agree on some of these points.
That's not what is about to happen.

or one man's wrecked machine . though it could be a good thing for many kids with no direction in there lives as compared to going to a school that indoctrinates them in communism , victim hood , and the need of safe spaces . or worse that they should want to strap a bomb on them self in the name of any god for any reason like in philly .

My oldest grandchild is 14. I asked him what his plans were when he gets out of high school. He told me;
Joining the Marines and then when I get out looking at law enforcement.
I was proud!
I think my granddaughters will do the military thing.
They look up to their grandfathers and are proud of them.

Just when you think all is lost !

Obvious intervention needed...... Marines, come the hell on man. :)

I was in your grandsons shoes at 14.

I thought it was going to be the Army though. I was into building Tamiya models and shooting them with my BB guns.

Built all sorts of soldiers and equipment from the European theatre.

Than one day a friend said he would join with me if we went in the Marines.

I thought cool "Island Hopping"

My goal after USMC was a career in law enforcement.

Friend never went in the Marines, happy I did.

Gave up on all that was military and law enforcement after enlistment.

Almost twenty years later found myself in law enforcement.

Tell your grandson to get in shape. Tell him he needs to make the daily PT session "His Time".

It needs to be the period where he can cruise and do something good for himself without drawing negative attention from any DIs.

Enjoy your trip to PI when he graduates.

We were at our most bad ass when judges acted as recruiters. We can't have our cake and eat it too. I was never more afraid for my life than I was anywhere near our own in garrison.

I think government has no business in "educating" children or anyone actually.

I think all Caucasian kids should be inducted at 12 years old. Have the military take over education, physical fitness and discipline.

Let them know some are not going to make it. They will die along the way.

They are dieing now from drugs, car wreck, and undisciple life style.

Depends on your interpretation of 'education'.

The gubmint did a good thing in educating people to the problems associated with smoking tobacco, use and deaths went way down. ..though it was more of an enforcement sort of thing, held true with seat belts and air bags.

That should be the gubmints main function, to put out unbiased (read: not lies bought and paid for by lobbyists) information so people can make thought out, well informed, wise decisions. I think Bloomberg (formenr NYC mayor) had the right idea with the huge sugar filled soft drinks, except it shouldnt be gubmint mandated control, just a sustained ad campaign explaining the negative effects of white sugar on the body.

Brainwashing 16 year old's to be 'killing machines' doesnt fall under that rubric.

and where is that responsibility delegated in the constitution???? This is why your generation the one before you and my generation fucked over a country and set our kids up to be enslaved.

Navy has to be the jamb, on a boat hanging out eating good copping the rays. Banging girls in every port, getting to know the Navy Doc very well from port to port getting the burning to stop.

The war on the tobacco industry was the training mission for the war on privately owned firearms. The weapon of choice was "education".

I wouldrespectfully, disagree with that.

Cigarettes were killing a shitload of folks. In this case all that was done was to require warnings alerting users, and potential users, to the hazard of use. They weren't made illegal. Use (in this country) went way down as did many of the associated illness. Its not the gubmint, per se, coming our against firearms, just a small very vocal moronrity. But I do share your angst about more gubmint controls.

What actually happened is it forced the tobacco companies to open more markets in China and the rest of Asia to sell their poison. My family were red neck 'baca' farmers fr generations back. They grew some of the finest 'light' baca around.

Knowledge, while far from an end all or panacea, can be a blessing when properly applied.

The decline of tobacco usage was more incentive through astronomical taxation than education with a Surgeon General's warning. The gov't is now doing the same with sugary sodas, fuel, electricity, and the latest nicotine based vape fluid in the very near future.

Cant disagree. I appreciate the outcome if not the means....at least the sugary sodas.

Again, I dont support them 'passing laws'about it, jsut putting the info out there so m people can make informed decisions. Now I gotta get back to my bottle of Tempranillo.

Than why are all these state AGs allowed to sue the tobacco manufacturers and make millions in claims in class action suits because "the customer was mislead"?

Biggest scam ever.......

People have known since day one smoking was bad for a human yet these people claiming "I didnt know....whoa is me".

Look at movies from the 40s "Those things will kill you kid" was a common line even as Uncle Sam provided cigs in C Rats through the 60s into the 70s.

I agree I had my 18th birthday in bootcamp, semper fi.

Skipped school the day after my 17th birthday and the recruiter drove me to the MEP Station.

Wathced the Challenger blow up sitting on a couch in the FBI waiting area while an agent processed whatever he processed, probably looking for Russian collusion. They intyerrupted "The Price is Right" to show the launch. Never did see who won the final roll off.

Mom called me a "Fuckin idiot" when I came home that night but she denies that ever happened now.

Back when it was cool to be seen as a strong American Man...

Perhaps that’s the problem, American men need to go back to smoking Marlboro Reds and having a set of nuts. Yeah we were dropping at 55 from heart disease but you can’t say the ol Marlboro men were confused about their gender...

Better to die a man at 55 then a nutted ol cow, shopping for candles with your wife at 85...

How about keeping your nuts, losing the cigs, and living til 90. Win/win

Mothers are like that. Very selective memories. Mine was a master at it.

One can see a glass as half empty or half full. I chose half full.

YMMV
