In a video press conference, Mayor Ras Baraka, a Democrat, said the unidentified woman arrived at East Orange General Hospital on Saturday, underwent a COVID-19 test, provided a false name and address and left.

The test result later came back positive, and city health officials arrived to the address provided to notify her that she needed to come in for treatment. That’s when officials realized the woman at the hospital had lied about her identity and residence.

Great idea! Then we have a bunch of criminals and poors - groups that are already a bit weak in the ol' "future time orientation" - running around as unknowing carriers.

I know there are people that want to use the current situation as reasons to be cruel, but it's gonna hurt innocent people way, way worse.

Italy and France have had their highest numbers of deaths from coronavirus in a day, with 475 and 89 more fatalities respectively.

The deaths in Italy - an increase of 19% in the last 24 hours - bring the country's total to 2,978.
Italy also had a large rise in coronavirus cases, with 4,207 confirmed on Wednesday, bringing the total to 35,713, the Civil Protection Agency said.
The 89 deaths in France took its total to 264, an increase of almost 51%.
Confirmed cases in France rose by 1,404 on Wednesday from the day before - an increase of 18% - bringing the total to 9,134.

Health agency director Jerome Salomon said 931 people were in serious condition, needing life support.

Ive had a few beers at Goat Hill, but I don’t do the bar thing like I did when I was younger. High Times liquor store has all the good beers I need these days. I’m between the 55 and back bay not too far from the fairgrounds. Now this area is loaded with homeless and addicts. I hope you were able to escape this state.

Shit just got real for my family - my 28 year old daughter who is an RN in Texas is now in the hospital, negative pressure room, on oxygen, waiting on test results for C-19. Wife is stressed, trying to keep her calm.

This happened all in the span of less than 24 hours. Crazy. She's in great hands though.

Will keep y'all posted, but dang... Tell the people you care about that you love them.

Thoughts from today....

This could really explode in the next few days. Actually every hour counts at this point IMO.

The younger generations don't appear to be taking this as serious as their own recreational pleasure and freedom. South Beach Miami is an extreme example, but an example of their generations underlying perception of the situation. The National Guard should be brought to South Beach to shut it down now.

The capacity of the two major hospitals in our 235K population area have less than 100 beds available at best. It doesn't appear much better anywhere else.

If we don't buckle down and get ahead of this curve in the next few days it may replace Pearl Harbor as the biggest threat this country has ever faced. But back then we had patriots and fighters who respected what they had here.

The financial and criminal tsunami to follow could get downright ugly.

If China by chance did this intentionally to gain global superiority..... their strategy could work.

My AO had its first positive case confirmed the other day. People are still panic buying food and some supplies. I went to a supermarket nearby that's usually empty but the employees are familiar with me as I stop in a couple times a week and one of the lady's that works the checkout line said it's been insane for the past week and they're now limiting food to customers because they can't keep up with the demand. No more than two of an item per customer and paper products are secured and rationed. Not to much crazy shit though other than the dealing with the paranoid hordes. I also saw today that inmates are being released throughout the state because of the virus and it's also changing how LEO responds to certain situations and making arrests so I think things can get rowdy here in a week or two provided the virus is as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. If it is serious, I think things will get ugly all over because there's large swaths of individuals of all age groups that think this is no different than the flu so time will tell.

Prayers to your daughter. My middle daughter is in quarantine in Svalbard. Not ill fortunately, but stuck in their house.
