The canine mosquito repellent treatments (squirt on applications) contain permethrin. Humans have an enzyme that rapidly degrades permethrin and renders it ineffective. This is why you can't apply permethrin to your skin- it's not effective. Apparently, dogs don't have that enzyme. Treat your outdoor clothing with permethrin. It lasts several weeks and several laundry cycles.

I can say I've worked all over the United states and Canada.
Ticks and rattlesnakes always bothered me but as far a skeeters, northern Michigan has some of the worst.
I was working on the river driving pilings around Mackinaw in the late 80's and the skeeters and Deer fly's would make a guy insane.
All joking aside getting your cloths treated works pretty good followed up with duct tape around your boots.

This summer I'm going to try taking chlorophyll pills, they've been used for a few years by deer hunter for scent control, which is why I'm going to give it a shot. It is supposed to make you smell like a plant, and not like a predator. I would think i may work for mosquitoes? I'm not sure, but I will find out.
Well on a serious note, lets not forget about spider bites.
Friday while reading I had the joy of a brown recluse nailing me.
I didn't think much of it until about 30 minutes later,my leg turned fire engine red.
Wife is a NP and she's like you're going to the hospital NOW.
I figured I'd give it a few hours then decide.
I went to the store and a fever hit me so fast my teeth were chattering(103.5).
I texted my Doc so he would call ER and get my frequent flyer ass in right away.
I'm post Chemo and l have been having problems with my blood and bone marrow coming back to normal.
So now I'm into this about two and a half hours by now.
My White blood count took a huge hit 0.09 (low is 5.0) and every one is worried about sepsis.
Here's a few pictures of the wounds timeline of just 2. 5 hours.
I've been in the hospital AGAIN since Friday.

I'd be dead by now if I didn't listen to her, hey sometimes you have to let them have their way.
This isn't the first time she's saved me, been with her since I was 15 years old, I'm 57 now.
8 MG of Morphine is taking care of that.
