I'm from Alberta, and I can tell you there will be very little compliance here, and even rural areas in liberal provinces. There's a reason that there is only one liberal seat in parliament in the 3 most western provinces, and that's on the BC coast where all the hippies are. It's also the reason for a large rise in the western separatist movement. That reason is Trudeau.
People, whether Canadian or American, are starting to really see the corruption our .gov(s) have imposed on all of us, that I still feel that an uprising will be happening in the very near future. I'm really getting worried. Their was a time, not long ago, that I felt that shit would blow over, but, now, I don't feel that way. We always thought we could hopefully vote our way out of this tyrannical shit, Now not so much. These tyrants in office now, just overreach, without being held responsible for their actions. Why do I feel like this is a "Global" thing also, not just in the North American Countries??
I read on the globe and mail they will be grandfathered. They decided last minute not to outright ban them because they knew it wouldn't turn out well. At least according to that article. Everywhere else says there is a buyback program with 2 years to comply.

Some of these guns are non-restricted. 95% of AR variants are restricted, meaning they are registered. Most of the other guns on that list were non restricted. It sounds like they will be grandfathered, so unless you have your own land to shoot it (which is still illegal, but who will be there to tell you not to), it will be stuck in the safe if you don't sell it across the border or let the gov. "Buy it back". If they are non-restricted though, the gov. Doesn't know if you have them, technically.
