I’m betting it’s a hanger for hanging stuff in/on slotted walls. Would explain why there are multiples of them. Looks like they’d have to be short, vertical slots though.

I take that back. It’s a hanger that goes onto a horizontal, flat bar.

You two weenies been sneakin’ around my house in the middle of the night ? :eek::eek:

Oh, and you forgot to mention light bulbs....

We call it the Junk Drawer. Its where all the little odd shit winds up. Random keys, birthday candles, batteries that may or may not work, soy sauce packets, pens...

Doesn't everybody have one?

That would be my guess also. Flat bar stock hanger, like the ones over a kitchen island for hanging pots and pans. Maybe for hanging items in blueing tanks. That would be firearm related!

I don't know VeerG being a Foody and all....if he has a pot rack in the kitchen these could be extra hooks as others have suggested.

Such a strange shape regardless. Completely stumped over these and hard to believe we can't find the exact same thing online yet. It remains a mystery. 😋

I think my doctor used one of these when he did my Vasectomy, at least it felt like it

When they reach in there and pull up some slack, from your man sauce delivery tubing before the
anesthetic kicks in, you'd swear you could hear colors.
At least I did.

Ok, let's play this game again. I am far from a European firearm expert and know jack crap about Mausers. Having said that, this was one of @Veer_G 's guns. I can't identify it with any certainty for his Wife.

My best guess is a Swiss variant of a German Model 98 Mauser, but so uncertain. I asked for close ups of the receiver, so should be coming shortly.

Let the games begin!

It's Swiss. Either you or she should contact Eidelweiss for exact details/valuation. :)

It's a "straight pull", probably a "K11" and what little I know about the Swiss guns, they bear no functional resemblance to Mausers.....

Yep K 31 should be in 7.5X55 no other bolt gun in the world comes close to it's operating speed Many have discounted them over the years only to have their ass handed to them by one. A very favorite weapon by many when running any type of course were speed an accuracy are tallied together, for the final score.

Waitadangminnit!!

Are we allowed to go on to item #2 without properly answering question #1???
I'll second that motion. All except the fact that Jimmy's helping out Veer's widow. (y)

I dunno though.......kinda like driving a car with a dirty windshield. A little housecleaning seems to be in order......
