Well, the answer is no.

From heigh end chisels, to saw blades, to vehicles, to Rolex watches. It is not available.


What do you use in your daily activities that is no longer available, or stock is spotty? Aside from reloading shit since we all know that is not available.

I’m a contractor, my last 2 jobs I’ve had to buy my lumber from 3-4 different places because they dont have certain items

when the do have the items I want they’re priced like this...

Electricity. The system is being taken down power plant by power plant. Sure it is being up supported by wind and solar but neither are robust. I looked into home generators. Big low rpm ones. They are expensive but also not available at the present time. Need to place an order and wait.

Get to know an oil feild guy. Every deisel light plant is a 220 generator also. Worse comes to worse ill barrow one for a week.

Well, we have bonded over 1911s and the fact that blue states suck.

I am trying not to be a dick these days while still being honest about my opinions. I am glad it is finding some success.

Wow! When I put the addition on my house just over a year ago (bought the materials in Jan of 2020, that same stuff was about $18 per sheet...and its made out of fucking scraps.

My summary is a lack of rational thought. I am over emotionalism that degenerates any discourse to an ad hominem.

I miss dissenting opinions being conducted with civility. Meaning I may not agree in any way shape or form with your position but it is your right to express your opinion without threat to your safety.

In a place like ours, tempers can heat up and boil over. I have noticed this more often than in earlier times. It is easy to get caught up in a position and express it in a manner not consistent with the rules of the house. That has been known to lead to bad things.

I personally try not to tell people to go fuck themselves as much as possible. Sometimes it is hard to do so

The time before 2012 when the world as we knew it ended.
If you take a step back and remiss about that time, the guys at work have a running theory, that in 2012 the world was teleported to another similar dimension, only the patients have taken over the asylum and only those who are free-thinking enough can notice.
Hence all this woke agenda shit started picking up after 2012. The UN came out strong with all this enviro crap, the alphabet soup started getting serious traction, social engineering became abundant. Things have progressively gone well and truly downhill from there.
I miss the days before 2012 when nobody cared who you stuck your dick into, the environment just kept ticking along, there weren't school walkouts over climate change, there wasn't communist indoctrination of primary school kids, socialists were just a small fringe group of society that everybody moved or ignored, the media wasn't as forcefully with their fake news propaganda agenda and occasionally told some real news....

He has very high tastes. I just pointed him in a direction on fountain pens which he enjoyed. Trying to up his game in the watch area.

Speaking of my wood: 100+ year old heart pine and oak. There is a boatload more. The building is sitting on 6x8x12 solid oak beams.
