I tend to be the same way. Not a big rap fan. His appearance isn't of interest to me and not something I generally pay attention to anyways. His message however, often aligns with my ideals and I know for certain hes helped relate that message to our younger generation...

Eta: it's just a sign that we are old fucks lol...
