Rifle Scopes New Razor????

For all with issues between MSRP and MAP. MSRP is NOT street price. The MAP is $2999 and what it will be on the street. You can see that in the EuroOptic's link. Less than a ZCO. LOL

$2999 is more than a ZCO? MSRP is not street price.
:ROFLMAO: What's the point of having an MSRP if street price on day 1 is 25% off...

I think the point still applies with regard to glass - it's 2X the street price of the G2, which is also increasing by ~500? Thinking optimistically, I expect the glass is upgraded on both.

MSRPs have always been higher. Not just on these scopes. Look around some.

Street price of the Razor II is $1999. You can find them cheaper but that is the listed MAP. The Gen III is $2999. The glass is better on the Gen III as are the power range, lower parallax and a few other features. You don;t bring out a new scope and price them the same as the older model.

Watch the Europtic video. Says same glass as the 1-10 gen 3 which is better than the g2.

If you're only going to watch one video watch the Europtic one. It's better than the Vortex videos.

I find it interesting that they didn't revamp the 3-18, I 'd have thought they'd want to compete with the lower magnification ATACRs, S&Bs, and ZCO.

I guess they don't think there's much market for a 3-18 scope that weighs 3lbs.
Wonder if they have something else in mind to fill the niche.

Better, but definitely not unbiased :ROFLMAO: I'm sure it's going to be a great scope, but given the available info, the value equation appears to have come down, positioning it closer to NF, which may be exactly what the mktg dept is shooting for.

Glad they updated it and more competition is a good thing.

That being said, it has none of the features I was hoping for. Unfortunately I'll have to pass.

I am honestly curious as a 6-36x scope with 36 mils of travel, parallax to 10 yards, great reticle and glass pretty much checks a lot of boxes. If anyone was hoping this would be 25 ounces you were living in a dream world to begin with. LOL

.25 mil reticle? You mean instead of the .2?

What sub $3000 scopes have tooless knobs?

Lht kinda does.

I guess depending on if adding the collar is considered a tool or not.

Are the turrets tool less rezero?

Doesn't look like it (watched the Europtic video).

But yeah, with the price increase, if I didn't already have a Gen2, I'd pony up the difference and go for the Gen3 for sure. Looks like a winner. I'll probably end up with one sooner or later.

Meopta Optika6 has tool less elevation. It's an $800 scope.
Weaver Super Slam (Nitrex TR2)
Was talking more of a comparable scope in specs but guess they would count. Don;t think someone would take them over a Gen III though. LOL

Yes. PR2 reticle is my favorite reticle far and away.

None. But it's a feature that may have gotten me to switch to a G3 from Leupold. Leupold mk5 has 1 out of 2 features. G3 has none. I have no brand loyalty, it either has as many as possible or it doesn't.

How many of yall actually use/would use a tooless knob? Im struggling to find a realistic use case, but maybe im missing out.

Hmm I would hate .25 mils as every bit of data is in .1 mil and it would be more of a brain screw to have to think "oh those are .25. I hate that on the Arken too. Guess everyone has their favorites.

Your money and choice. Was just wondering.

I would use it because it would go on my AXMC. It’s not a deal breaker for me. But I switch barrels often on it.

I guess for multi cal rifles would be the way to go. But you could also input that into a kestrel off set.

It’s really nice if you’ve got a gun that can switch barrels easily and you actually do swap them. Mrad, desert tech, axmc, asr, all the newer AI’s really. I worry about creating a divot with set screws when switching back and forth between zeros. I’ve got a Revic on my srs now and the tooless zero system is very handy.

Or just use the simple one screw tool. LOL

Cat's finally out of the bag, so here they are fellas - should have some to ship out any day!

RAZOR GEN III 6-36x56 MOA

RAZOR GEN III 6-36x56 MRAD

I have been shooting it for a bit - I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you get behind one ;)

My biggest question about it is how well does it cut through mirage compared to the rest of the field

I won't know until it warms up enough here to have significant mirage. I do get a little bit here during the day and it looks to be doing quite well with weird air, but the real confirmation will come toward summer.

The way this turret works, there is no way t create a divot. There is a single screw you need to tighten slightly after zeroing and it is not digging into the stem or anything like that. It is a rather new design that has an internal clamp of sorts. That is what the screw is tightening.

Thank you for the explanation. I like how that seems to work.

I’ll have to watch the videos on it when I’m home later

Very good to know! Thank you

It is an intelligent way of making a turret. With the internal/external turret design, it is an evolution of their original L-tec idea, but the internal clamp is a very useful improvement.

Ok I see we will be dying on the tooless knobs hill. LOL Ok guys you win. New scope sucks because it doesn't have tooless knobs. LOL
Tooless is cool in theory but are you ever really in a situation where you’re zeroing but don’t have time to grab an Allen wrench from your pack? I would like to have it but imo definitely not a deal breaker.
