Have you experienced any issues with the bayo being that far forward of the muzzle? I'm putting something together now, but have a couple rifles with 16" barrels and 15" handguards. My options are, like yours, mount beyond the muzzle or mount just below my brakes which could cause some distance issues (too much) between the bore axis and bayo sensors.
