    Great advice, thank you! I didn't think about rotating the detent ring. I still haven't had a chance to go and look at my rifle, been busy. Hopefully next weekend I can give this a test.

    I haven't tested if it's landing between notches yet, but if it is, should I back it off so that it sits in the detent prior to full lockup, or is there something I can do to get it to snug to the next notch?

    Zak, isn't that typically for the overall shift? My problem seems more complex than this, as I get my regular POI shift from suppressor on vs. off, then I get the shift described in the OP as well.
