    Gunsmithing McGowen Barrels...any of you have luck with THEM?

    I had a 25-06 barrel on a trued action installed and chambered by the McGowen shop. When they say not to expect benchrest accuracy believe them. POS that delivered 2 moa after 300 rounds of load development. #4 contour on a trued 700. POS barrel in my opinion...any one with different results...

    I have 2000 rounds through a rat. What is your load? Is the gas port moved ahead? Best powders I found were 8208 and H4895 but VV 140 works Varget would also be a great choice

    Are AICS mags suitable for a 22-250 case?
