Re: Nightforce 12-42x Benchrest question I got zero with a 20 MOA base, But to get to 1000 with a .308 using 175 or heavier bullets, you will need a 40MOA base and a prayer. I will let you know Monday if the prayer worked!

Re: Nightforce Question? I bought the scope to use at 500 yards and 1000 yards. I zeroed it today @ 100 yards. I have badger 20MOA base mounted. With zero @100 yards. The scope will only go up 23 MOA. I need 29MOA FOR 1000YARDS. It's a Remington 700 5R 24" on a Accuracy international stock.

How much elevation travel do you get from 0 @100 yards? The scope is a NXS 12-42 X 56 NP-R1 I am only getting 23 MOA of elevation and 26 negative elevation.

Re: Disassemble the bolt or not? Maximum bullet length on the lands.

Is it better to disassemble the bolt to find the maximum length with no tension or better to have the bolt assembled the way it's going to be fired. Is there any difference in length between the two? Thanks in advance.
