    I have a Thor 640 5X and I don't see an advantage the Flir R other than the longer warranty and the mounting system hopefully is better than the Thor. I had to turn mine around to make it work on my LMT, the scope it's self has been flawless.

    Night Vision T14x thermal.... Too good to be true?

    For another Grand you can get into a Thor 320x240, I had one and it was a good scope for that 300-500 yard stuff. I upgraded to a 640x480 5 Power, it is your 600-1000+ scope. I didn't even have to zoom out for dog sized animals at 600+ yards. Doing at again I would get the 640x480 in 2.5 power...
