Just removed a factory Rem. 700 bbl that has been on since 1971 or so. I heated the receiver ring with a propane torch for about 2 minutes while it was in the vise, ready to go..., and when there was smoke just starting to wisp up, you know the Loctite has melted. It came right off with a good...

I had the same rifle....my importer was Gun South, Trussville. That rifle should have an importer on it..I think there was 2 or 3 of them that imported them..Also they came with 2 types of flash hiders...short, fat one & the long slender fluted type. (the latter being more valuable..)
