Thanks for asking. Still working on it. Looks like 2-3 more weeks.

Spar varnish but..clean the wood with TSP first and make sure it's dry before you put the varnish on. If not, the dirt will prevent the varnish from sticking and you'll have areas that peel off.

    Time pieces/Watches?

I don't have a watch problem; I can quit any time I want. Really. Newest additions are this SD43 with a Yachtmaster seconds and an A-13A pilot watch. I got the SD used and it was supposed to just be an interim until my sub-date came in at the AD. But, I've been on "the list" now for 8...

Nice work and great material. I use a 50/50 MS and BLO or tung initial wash coat (usually two) to make the chatoyance deep. Adds at least an extra day for the BLO (longer for tung) to set up up but the thinner wash allows deeper penetration before it does and it won't pull out when you wipe it...

I talked this over with my dogs and we think you need to have your ears slapped for a few days.

Thanks for asking. It's slow but I think we're making progress. This is from today. Still a month or more away from closure.

Also check Etsy. The overseas craftsman in VN and Thailand (for example) have access to real skins and some do very high quality custom work.

    Time pieces/Watches?

If your looking for a good "tool" watch, it's hard to beat the tegimented Sinn 857, if you get it on the used market. At 42mm it's very comfortable.

We're healing but slowly. He's got good margins on 80% and it's starting to contract.

Can I? Yup. Will I? Nope! I've done wound packing care for humans but you can tell them to quit being a sissy. Also I'm not willing to risk any progress at this point on something I haven't done before with him. I'm just slightly better than the "rub some dirt on it" phase in my medical...

Good idea. I take pictures everyday to check progress but the angle is always different. We've made some progress on the lacerations and in general it looks a lot more calm. I made him a new splint from rigid plastic tube and a heat gun to provide a wider base of support and keep him from...

These are probably the most brutally honest words I've seen on loss. Thank you.

I'm going to start calling UC Davis in the morning (hopefully they'll answer the phones). They have a vet school but I don't know if they do small animals, it's mostly ag. And... I've been in communist controlled territory before. My problem with the Manuka is that I don't know enough about...

I wasn't clear: the two "new" incisions caused by the heavy mattress sutures at the top and bottom of the crater are what I'm questioning should they be sutured. Both are in the dermis on the perimeter of the larger hole. There's so much soft tissue damage from this last go around that I'm...
