    +1. Exactly right. I seldom dial for wind, I use my holds. If I see my POI was 3 hash marks to the left, I know to hold 3 hash marks to the right. It doesn't matter what power you are on.

    I didnt say burris sucked. I know the limitations of steel screws + steel rings. That is why I prefer aluminum rings. I guess next time I spend 9 days in wet weather I should remove the scope every night and oil screws. LOL!!!!

    No, but the OP is entitled to his opinion. His rings broke. I've never broken a set of rings, had to cut a set of Burris apart once when everything rusted together during a hunt, but that is about it.

    Based on the failure rate I have had with the standard Conquest, I would be very leery to drop money on an HD5. Regarding the Nikon...the BDC reticle has to be the worst reticle ever...Does anyone at Nikon actually shoot?

    My Nightforce has "high speed". The difference is you get twice the elevation adjustment per revolution. The old turret only went to 10 before you passed zero. The new ones go to 20. I can get almost to 1000yds without even passing the zero mark. In my opinion, it makes zero stop kind of...

    A. the OP needs his eyes checked. B. if you actually use a scope you will know why a Nightforce is $1600 and a Barska is not. Twisting turrets and subjecting a scope to hundreds of rounds will quickly weed out the trash. I've killed two Conquests on a 243. My Nightforce keeps on working.

    On a side note, I don't store my range-finder or GPS with batteries in it. I put the battery back in when I am ready to use it. I had a couple go bad when the batteries leaked.

    Ranging and hold overs are still an option with a SFP, you just need to be on high power. The only time I could see it being a problem is if you are in a timed event and you want your scope on a lower power to quickly locate them and range them.
