    Thoughts on a 6.5 grendel long range precision rifle for my daughter?

    I regularly shoot a 6.5 Grendel on an AR platform in tactical competitions to 600 yards. If I do my part it will shoot MOA all the way out. I shoot a 123gr AMAX out of a 20" Alexander Arms barrel. My wife shoots it without any recoil issues. Bob

    Agree. I shoot the Mtac on a 16" carbine in tactical matches from 0 to 300 yards. Put a cattail on the power ring and have a quick easy to shoot optic. Bob

    Gunsmithing Stock smithing

    I took a wooden dowel that was slightly larger than my barrel diameter. Wrapped it with various grades of Emory cloth and used some elbow grease. Took a while but ended up with a nice smooth barrel channel that was very uniform. As Wannashootit said they are gel coated so since mine is black...
