Update: after hearing nothing for months my friend just got a phonecall from the FFL that a big box just arrived for him.

A friend submitted his application a few months ago and has heard nothing but crickets so far.

I was surprised at how easy it was to shoot. Just some very basic instruction (from a good teacher) and I was able to make hits out to 750 the second time I fired it.
