I do industrial hygiene for a living at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Something else to think on is that unless you have a portable GC/MS, you may not know that you are in an environment that you need protection until it is too late. We use some of the most advanced equipment you can get...
Nothing is going to fit well under a helmet. A level A suit that you can wear with an SCBA - a real one - is $10k I would suggest getting some actual training on respiratory and chemical protection with what you are talking about. A decon station ? In order to do this...
Folks, Has anyone tried these yet? I picked up a bunch of the belgian steel mags, but some say that there have been feeding issues noted with the surplus mags (various forums). The new mags are $20. I called Rock River and the technician there said that they are GTG, and the steel mags are...
Bought a scope for my rock river. 2-7 redfield. Salesman said I needed these extra high mounts, which are standart for AR platform guns. These seem very high to me (they are Warne Maxima Ultra Height) since I am used to shooting bolt guns. Is this guy full of hot air, or do I need an...

Re: Have you settled on one go to pistol? There isn't one that will do all these things well. A glock 23 will do most of these. A wilderness gun is at least a 41 mag. Get a 44 mag however. Get a decent 40 for an all around gun, and that's a start
Re: Sig 516 AR I have been through this one. http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthre...725#Post2341725 Just be advised that can't get the newer model yet - Sig says this summer. Right now the ones that are available don't have the sopmod stock or the match trigger. Still may get one...
Re: Sig 516 Patrol Rifle ? - UPDATE Update: Ordered one from a local gun shop and - to my suprise - the older model with the ctr stock and the mil spec trigger showed up. This is not what was presented from the distributor. So - after being in communication...
Any info on these guys? They have a AR that is based on Noveske parts for less than 1K that I am interested in. Seems to be a bargain since parts all look like top shelf. Don't know the twist rate of the barrel yet. http://rarguns.com/N413_Noveske_Match.html What say you?
A guy at work bought a 300 WSM because it was on sale at Cabelas, and now is asking where he can get a compensator / brake installed. (He already had a 300 win mag and a nice 308, so I don't know why he got this, but he did.) Advice from the hide ??
