-US Marine Corps, Combat Vet., (2002 -'06).
-Primary MOS: 0811. Field Artillery Crewman, Tango, 5/10
(2003-'04).
-Deployed to Okinawa in '03 attached to 3/12 at Camp Hanson. Field ops. at Camp Fuji & Yausabetsu.
-Volunteered to transfer to Lima Battery, 3/10, attached to 2/10, Provisional Infantry Battalion in support of O.I.F., (2004).
-TAD MOS: 0311, Rifleman (2004 -'06).
-Went to Scout Sniper School at Stone Bay, NC. to certify as Squad Designated Marksman (before USMC had a formal SDM Course for MOS 0317).
-Put in HQ Battery, 2/10, STA platoon.
-MOUT & SASO training at March AF base in SoCal, STA Platoon had additional Sniper/Counter Sniper training at "Bill's Range" (can't remember official name of range) about 1hr from March AF base.
-2/10 Provisional Infantry Battalion, which included; All of 2/10 (HQ, Echo, Fox, & Golf,), Charlie 1/10, Lima 3/10, Mortars 2/6, Scouts 2nd Tanks & 2/10 STA plt., Deploys to al Anbar Province, Iraq, in 2004, w/a very broad mission objective but was mainly described as Security & Stability Operations & Force Protection for FOB's al Taquaddum; al Asad; abu Ghurayb; & Camp Fallujah, w/each base getting 2 teams from STA plt., operating under Scout/Sniper Billet, MOS: 8541.
-My team was attached to Lima Btry. at TQ & also conducted missions in Camp Fallujah's AO.
- Took part in Force Protection during Operation Phantom Fury, Fallujah, Nov.'04.
-Began workup for 2nd deployment 1 month after returning home from 1st deployment, in early 2005. Also completed Combat Marksmanship Coaches Course, secondary MOS: 8530.
-Served as Fireteam Leader & SDM for 2/10's 2nd deployment to Camp Blue Diamond, ar Ramadi, Iraq (2005-'06).
-Combat Action Ribbon; Good Conduct Medal; GWOT Service Medal; GWOT Expeditionary Medal; Iraq Campaign Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/2 stars; National Defense Medal; NYS Medal for Merit; MCMAP Green Belt; 3rd award Rifle Expert; 2nd Award Pistol Expert; Gunner/A-Gunner Cert.; Combat Marksmanship Range Coach Cert.
-Honorable discharge, Nov.'06, Corporal/E-4.
-Currently have 10+ years in the Security Industry:
Armed Guard with Loomis Armored;
Armed Nuclear Security Force Member with Entery at Indian Point Energy Center;
Armed Guard w/Spartan Tactical K9;
Armed Security w/Paragon Systems contract w/ the National Archives & Records Administration (NARA), at the FDR Presidential Library & Museum in Hyde Park, NY.
