I just got the Atlas PSR and I really like have the quick release because it gives me the option of conveniently leaving it off my light hunting rifle (or maybe carrying it in the pack...if you need a bipod you usually have time to set up the shot). Or I can switch it over to another rifle. The...
In my case, it was my card that caused the problem. BHW didn't have to do anything, but they did anyway. That's above and beyond. FWIW, the issue with my card originated with Target...a place I don't plan on doing business with for a long time.
That's technically correct but otherwise completely wrong. Premier's intellectual property and engineering got bought by a Canadian company ATI, which formed Tangent Theta. And they've also retained Paul Lange to service Premier scopes "until he dies" in the U.S. The TT scopes are very similar...
Makes me wonder if they'd either knocked them around too much or didn't know how to use them. Mine's a DeWalt DW087K and it flashes if it's not stabilized. Basically, they need to be set down or mounted to something so the housing is within 5 degrees of plumb. Then the gimbal mounting inside can...
I just got off the phone with Lynn @ BHW to resolve a screwy issue with my credit card. What an awesome company! Being a small business owner myself, it can be difficult to deal with every customer in a timely fashion and make things right. But in my case BHW went above and beyond. I'm betting...
Just got the level yesterday for some construction projects. But it immediately occurred to me how much nicer it is than using a plumb bob to confirm level in a scope:
I'd hang on to your backorder for the MKM. You never know what will happen in the meantime. Mega likely will successfully start producing the new mono in sufficient quantities, but what if they have production delays and you wait another six months or longer. Or what if some other wacko kid goes...
I'll probably keep building my own, esp. if I can get my grubby mitts on a Seekins .308 upper/lower. But I do love me JP parts...and GAP, man, how could you go wrong?
Would be nice to know. I can't imagine the upper/lower weighing more than an ambi MATEN, which my semi-accurate scale tells me is somewhere between 1.8-1.9 lbs. In which case, I'd easily be able to build another 7.5 lb. rifle (unloaded, no scope).
I definitely don't mean the bastardized one. So, yes, the radian is officially metric. Thanks for the correction. What's also important to point out...well, never mind...enough on this topic already for me!
What mils and the metric system have in common is that they are both decimal-based. Nothing more. It does make the math a bit simpler. But as has been said over and over, if you have an FFP scope the main advantage is not having to convert at all to correct point of aim. As for ranging, I just...
