    He ground down the part of the firing pin assembly where the sear engages. I wish I knew why. When I got the rifle it had about an 8 oz trigger pull and I have only been able to improve it to about 17 oz. Still a bit light for my tastes. I'm wondering if a new trigger might be needed as well

The previous owner milled the cocking device on the underside of the bolt and I have been unable to bring the trigger out to more than 1 pound 2 oz. It was 8 oz when I received the rifle.
