It's supposed to have 35 mils. It is the same model tested by Glassaholic. The elevation turret was repaired or replaced once already. It came new with a missing vertical turret screw. After 4 weeks I received the screw, I installed it and torqued it to their recommendation and it...
Let's hope my 2nd warranty attempt on my TX6i makes me actually like this optic. I only have 23 mils of total elevation (zero stop turned off) and locking turret is stiffer than Danny D.
Steiner's customer service is slowwwwwww. Maybe I'm spoiled by the speediness of customer service responses from Vortex, Leupold, PA and March but only 1 response for my turret issue since 2/13/2024.
My buddy's Form 4 Individual submitted Fri afternoon 04.23.24. Approved this morning 04.29.24. Going with him to pick up his suppressor tomorrow. WTF is up ATF'S ass? Efile down all day too. I submitted my Form 4 Trust 12.01.2023 and still waiting.
Them UPINs are useless. I still get delayed 90% of the time with my UPIN (instead of a few days it's a few hours). If my FFL is out of town I tend to not use my UPIN because it has increased my chances of getting a delay instead of an instant proceed.
The first time I lost the O-ring. Luckily SiCo gives you an extra O-ring in the package so I added blue grease (marine grade grease? that I had laying around). Worked better, than it after few hundred suppressed rounds it started coming loose again. So now I just check it all the time.
I luckily had a backup AR with the same SiCo handle when I lost the rollpin and it's latch. For the interim I put blue loctite on the rollpins (which I don't recommend because it binds them). The 2nd gen's rollpins are so far so good but damn O-ring keeps coming loose.
I hate and love these GDCH's. Love them because they work the best when they actually work. Hate them because the O-ring gasket falls out all the time. All 3 of my GDCH's has been replaced to the next generation due to the roll pins falling out. Even lost 1 of the latches because it fell...
April of last year I played with Aero and Faxon. Aero was way smoother than the Faxon by a long shot so I ordered a short Aero and long CDG. Aero is slightly smoother than my CDG too.
