But man do they work. 308 win and 178 amax/eldm were made for one another. Probably my all time favorite combo from one of my bolt rifles.

Bought it. Wise men company makes it, hot pocket rail wrap. They have a website. It’s made to shield your hand from heat on high rate fire guns, but in this case for a hunting rifle it also makes it nice to hold/grab when that aluminum is very cold.
