The "I was there" thread. A discussion about concerts you've attended.

My parents took me with them to see Pink Floyd at the Hollywood Bowl back in the 80's. I don't remember what year but I was pretty young. I got to see Page & Plant in 95? while I was in automotive school in Phoenix. One of the guys I worked with had someone back out on his second ticket so I...

    Moms now vs back then

I ate a lot of soap myself and took more than one back hand for talking back. I turned out OK, but I am still a shit talker. She wasn't able to slap that out of me.

    G 30rd 6arc mags and 108eld s

That sucks. I would have taken that mag apart and checked the follower for any mold seem type issues or anything else that could cause the follower to drag or stick. If nothing obvious I would be on the phone with G asking them WTF.

    Surefire ICAR

That is not how I understood it when I discussed it with my contact there. They have tooled up to build the rifles in-house including hardware. The receivers are forgings they are machining. I'm sure springs and other components like that are outside suppliers, but a good majority of the rifle...

    G 30rd 6arc mags and 108eld s

Have you tried backing them down to 28-29? Just curious to see if that helps. I know it's not ideal but its worth a try. Given the cost of the mags I would contact them.

    Surefire ICAR

They are moving forward with it soon.

Probably because there isn't much money to be made in maintenance on electric vehicles outside of tires and brakes. Just like the states pushing for these for the environment, then realizing they made zero tax dollars on fuel, so they are creating mileage tax.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

I found the pic of one of the early groups on the rifle. It had a whole 20 rounds through it at this point. Warm barrel with a Magnetospeed hanging off the end and a one minute call to cease fire on the line at the range. Not bad for a slightly rushed group at the end of my trip. I have let...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

I'm getting less than 3/4 MOA with the lots I have in a 20" Proof carbon barrel. Typically around .55-.6. Good accuracy all the way to 1000 yards so far. It was stupid impressive at my local range at 600 yards. I really enjoy the rifle. I hope when I start loading I can match it or exceed it...

    Any Auto Technicians Here?

I always found the German cars had electrical issues and great mechanical build quality with some exceptions to recent model cars where the durability is not as good as it used to be. One of my friends is a long time BMW tech. He told me with the new stuff if you get one lease it or dump it...

    Any Auto Technicians Here?

He got lucky if this did not pop the main fuses/fuses. I used to be a Toyota tech for a long time. Toyota likes to keep the hot side hot and turn on grounds to power a circuit. A lot of the newer cars the battery is part of the circuit and they will not run if the cables are disconnected with...

    Any Auto Technicians Here?

More than likely a fuse or even possibly a relay could have been damaged. It depends on the vehicle as all do things a little differently. I am surprised it started usually they pop one of the main 80-100 amp fuses or melt a fusible link (old cars). It could have even melted a smaller ground...

Gunsmithing Adjusting Gas Key to lower receiver gap with a JP silent capture spring?

It will be fine. I have more than one lower that do not pass the "two quarter test" with a regular buffer set up. There is enough preload and I have yet to have a gas key touch the lower after thousands of rounds. None of the bumpers show signs of wear or deformation. You can buy replacement...

6ARC gas systems and A5 buffer systems and factory ammo...what's the baseline?

When I bought the A5 kit they only offered one weight at the time. I am not up to speed on all the other buffer weight versions they off and the naming conventions for them. The 3 kits I have were all purchased when they released them years ago. Also the A5 buffers have 4 weights inside I think...

6ARC gas systems and A5 buffer systems and factory ammo...what's the baseline?

Yes it is Rifle + 1 gas length. I think the standard A5 weight was 5.3 ounces, same as the rifle buffer.
