    Sig P320 Paranoia Setting in.

The marines just asked for an investigation because they had one go off in the holster at a gate. That was M17/18 with a safety. I have read they have had models with the safety discharge. I think the issue is in the sear or striker safety. More than likely tolerance stacking issues or part...

Best AR-15/M16 Bolt Carrier Group For The Money…Who Ya Got??

The phosphate BCG pictured doesn't have OKS installed. Not that they do not come with them, but I find it odd they are using a regular image for a supposed upsepc BCG.

    Low Recoil AR Load

26 grains of Win 748 over a 55 grain FMJ is very soft shooting and still has enough gas to run the gun for a cheap easy metering load.

Best AR-15/M16 Bolt Carrier Group For The Money…Who Ya Got??

The Geiselle bolt is forged. I'm happy with the two I have so far. I also like my JP and the BCM's in the others.

Gunsmithing How to clean area right before chamber

The Dewey kit for the AR chamber just has an aluminum piece with a hole in it for the little swab to go into. I wonder why they made the other style when they already have something else that is easier to use? I always just used Q-tips and bent them as needed to get into the lug area until a...

    Surefire ICAR

I cut down a 5.45 polymer AK74 mag to make it a 20 round mag and just tried glue. It held for a little while, then came apart while I did a loaded storage test. Thankfully it was in a big storage container by itself when it happened. I then tried polymer "epoxy" from Permatex or one of those...

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

I'm sure barrel wear is also accelerated. I know the hybrid stainless cases work and you can get more speed. Like others have said, is it really worth it with 223.

What upper receivers are you guys using to get a good thermal fit?

Out of all the BCM uppers I have built on I only have one that needs some attention. The pocket for the charging handle latch is really shallow, .020" depth. It holds the latch but I was a little concerned once it has some wear. So I will probably mill the pocket out another .030 to be closer to...

Thou shall not take the king's fish(bluefin)

I never said I didn't want to eat them. I have caught and cut a lot of fish in my time. I know what good tuna coloration is vs not. To each their own though. Some people eat monkfish liver at the sushi places and say its a delicacy. I would strongly disagree.

Thou shall not take the king's fish(bluefin)

I think the good eating size range for BFT is 40-200 pounds. After that the "Toro" part becomes bad. The fat almost turns into hard rubbery rows. The meat in between is ok. It really depends on what the fish are eating as well. I know those NE fish feeding off the scallop boats are super oily...

Thou shall not take the king's fish(bluefin)

The purse seiners down in Mexico wrapped so many in years past that the markets were giving them like $0.30/pound and using it for cat food. But the world is worried about the consumption of the fish and regulated the rod and reel anglers. This is why the pens were made so they could feed and...

Thou shall not take the king's fish(bluefin)

When I fished Moorehead City back in 2005 for those big BFT it was not uncommon for surf anglers to hook them while fishing for redfish. The regs for keeping those big BFT were pretty strict back then. We were able to keep one over 74" and release the rest. We had two released fish, one...
