Rifle Scopes Top tier scope recommendation

Yea, Leupold does seem to get looked down on here quite a lot. I have one of their mid tier VX5 scopes for the 500yd and under gun that it's on, and it does very well. Very clear image. Repeatable dialing. I'm not a new Leupold fan, but I cant see them holding too many people back. Sure...

Yea? So what are you saying then? Are you saying that you must use a high end optic to do well at a match? And having an opinion on optics is childish? You make zero sense. There's nothing childish about having an opinion.

Exactly. And, if the shots are being made SUCCESSFULLY, thennnnn that's because he did all of that, right? Not every single match shooter that places in a pretty decent position is shooting ZCO or Tangent are they?

True, but I think some of the guys on here were trying to clarify the difference between want and need. Some try to justify their expensive purchases by trying to convincing others that it was 'needed'. I think everyone here deserves to get the optic they want. But trying to convince others...

But if the shots being made successfully, then was the extra 2500 needed, or wanted.

Yea, you do have to get behind the optic and glass field to make a good judge if it suits your needs. ALTHOUGH, (of course each person's experiences vary) I find most people with 6000 dollar scopes dont really need them. They buy them because they can. No different than all the ferrari and...

Can't remove Muzzle Brake off of Ruger Gunsite

I know it's a long shot but, if it's rocksetted on, will heat even do anything? Try keeping the end in boiling water for a bit?

Recommend a suppressor for 6.5 CM and 338LM.

Out of the 8 or so can I can remember in my room, my Q half nelson (replaced by upgraded but similar designs in their line up) is very quiet. All the other cans I have, including the oem5, dead air nomad, a couple of form 1 diy's etc are not even close. My Q is the quietest. Though my aac...

What would be a slight step up from .

No you're right. Sheer numbers alone is OBVIOUSLY not an indicator of clarity or overall durability/fit & finish. If that was the case, tasco would beat out everyone lol. What I meant by doing well is, popularity plus a lot of good reviews. You wont get super popular (at least around here)...

Yep. They all think a 6000 scope is a requirement. I mean true, 6000 scopes have incredible pictures, but they break too. Not as often but they do. What people confuse is whether or not they're a requirement in doing what they do. The answer is obviously not, or there wouldnt be people out...

I can't say you're wrong; if a person is willing to suggest something they dont even own themselves, it is a little odd, BUT, look at how Element started (i think) as one of those no name European bb gun scope companies that hoped to catch on in the biggest firearms market in the world. No one...

The Athlon Ares 4.5-30 is precisely what I was looking when deciding between the "One" and something else. They were similar performers in my eyes, but the DNT won out due to price. Though there is the Bushnell match pro and the burris XTR 3 as well.
