Mr Gargoyle, I will revisit the o-ring trick. Tried it once with an o-ring that was probably too thick/large in cross-section. Looked and felt great/solid in lockup, but when I looked through the barrel and suppressor bores I was horrified to find them far from concentric. It seems my too thick...
I found that my "100 yard woes" all went away as soon as I left 100 yards behind. Now a new gas gun gets a 50 yard zero, and I go straight to 300...600...beyond. I never shoot groups up close anymore. In fact, if I make a center of mass cold bore shot at distance, then I may be done for the day...
I pay 189.00 per year and drive 3hrs round trip (with a great big smile on my face) 5-7 times per month to a similar, "free", "American" range, just to hear the sounds of suppressed and full-auto fire. Thanks be to God.
Tommie Butler Woodworth, LA 318-448-0414. You'll really like him. Fantastic shot. Plenty of "2 inch guns" wind up half-minute guns, just because he was the one shooting them!
While I don't fully agree with him, this does raise a good point, and for me, concern.....go brush your teeth, then brush with plugs and muffs in/on. It's pretty damn loud. I always shoot plugs and muffs, always have, even as a kid. I never experienced shooter's headache or facial/sinus...
Re: AAC 7.62 SDN-6 wiggleage? Well, I have an update...... My fitted suppressors have all gradually loosened to a quarter or a third-of-a-notch wiggle. I think it's just inherent to the design.....bones and other things generally deform or fail in tension before compression. Recoil forces on...
Re: AR trigger Guys-lee....you need springs, help, problems - just call 'em and parts are on their way. Once you buy one you just can't stop, 'till every AR's got the Geissele.
Re: Offset back up/alternative sights on scoped AR10? I run T-1's in Burkett Gen-2 offset 45 degree mounts on SBR's with NF 2.5-10's. Always on, always there, and "rolled-over" 45 degrees actually feels comfy and reasonably natural for me...fast too.
Re: TROS custom work on .45acp FA His 9mm AR barrels are top notch, as well. I won't mention the groups my 9mm SBR's shoot at distance, 'cause you'll call me a liar or wanna see pics, but the only ammo I found they didn't shoot great is the 158 Fiocchi. They love every version of the WW 147...
