Accessories FS: JP AMCS chassis, Proof 6.5 Creed Zermatt Prefit reduced

Make me an offer on either one. New Proof Barrel, prefit for Zermatt Bighorn TL3 and Origin actions. I believe this fits an AeroPrecision Solus, same as an Origin, with a 0.150 recoil lug. I have both, 0.150” adn0.250”. Great chassis also. I’m just moving out of the heavy rifle game and into...

What is the ideal SHTF optic?

I agree On #3. As is shooting offhand and using a sling. As for #2, interesting idea, make your gun safe a place to store radios and other key electronics and get it properly grounded. and all I wanted to do was discuss a small subset of scopes, lol…

    6x47 Lapua

Cortina also said some of the 6x47 reamers were for tight necks. He said many were for 0.272-0.273, IIRC and he used a 0.275 neck.

It might be at the lower speeds those powders are only filling the case 85-90% leaving an air gap under the bullet. What I do is run QLoad (or GRT) for a lower pressure, like 50-55kPSI and powders that have at least a 95% case capacity for that bullet.

What is the ideal SHTF optic?

If S really does HTF, I plan to pool together resources with neighbors and family. Most of my neighbors are veterans like me. We have people in medical professions, construction, electronics and communication, police. I think we would barricade the entrance, set up some comms, start a watch...

Thanks. And I bet you haven’t regretted that decision even once. 👍.

What is the ideal SHTF optic?

Digger - there was real value in your 19m statement. Would like to know who and how they came up with that. Very interesting. The rest was a series of straw man arguments. I didn’t say anything about staying in the city. I don’t live in one or suburbia for that matter. I also said nothing about...

What is the ideal SHTF optic?

W54 I agree with most of what you said and don’t think my OP disagrees much. But studies of actual civil unrest situations indicate more 50-150 yd engagements than 10-25 yds. But I agree handgun is the tool for those CQB situations. This leads me even more in the direction of a scope that...

    New 2024 MPVO Options

I almost posted how I think the need for a legit MPVO is important because it would fit the role of a SHTF weapon perfectly. I decided it was too long, so I started a new topic. Hopefully the Steiner H6Xi 2-12x mil version proves me wrong, but I don’t think there’s an ideal scope on the market...

What is the ideal SHTF optic?

I’ve posted opinions on the need for a legit MPVO battle optic. Most people would say a red dot or LPVO or both is best. I think a 1-10 LPVO might be ideal, but the optical limitations on a 10x erector limit performa CE and greatly increase prices. I think if the solution to a problem is $3500...

Rifle Scopes What is the maximum magnification you use in a match? (Poll)

I’m looking for the max useful magnification, not the sweet spot where you spend 50+% of your time. With all the high dollar scopes 5-25x, 5-30x, 6-36x, 7-35x and beyond, I’m just curious how many people find the upper range useful. Also, as scopes get better, am curious if shooters start...
