    Good scope mount for AR?

    I use the TPS TSR (Med. Steel I think) on my AR's and am very happy with them. If I'm going with a one piece detachable, then I use the M&A flat top scope mount available at Brownells. Very solid and well machined. They always seem to align very well. They hold zero, and they're not expensive.

    Asym or hornady match?

    I've tried ASYM, Lapua, Fiocchi Exacta Match 69, FGMM 77 and 69, and Norma Match 77. They'll all shoot sub MOA, but FGMM 69 and the Norma Match 77 gr. seem to shoot most consistently with the Fiocchi Exacta right behind. Like LCatGA, I've found the ASYM .308 to be better than FGMM and shoot it...

    Yup. Just got it about a month ago. I bought it because it offered the G2DMR reticle (which I love) and it was a smokin' deal. It's currently on my RRA 20" varmint .223. It's an excellent scope, but it does tunnel just a bit from 6X-8X . Above that the image is very clean.

    I've sent back two scopes for various service, including a reticle change. Leupold was always courteous and the work is first rate. Call them to verify that they can make all the changes you want. They'll give you an estimate.
