Not absolutely positive about real OAL max-they say 2.36”-but there are modified PRI magazines that will accept longer than std mag length of 2.28 that you can run in ASC/C Products mags. You still need to address distance to lands, regardless, especially with some chambers and tangent ogive...

2.32 OAL only applicable in a bolt gun with a chamber that will accept it, or as a single fed round in an AR, with same proviso regarding chamber. Sure, you can get more powder capacity, though you wouldn’t want to ignore distance to lands and resultant pressure, as well as how that pressure...

Have to add my experience with 123SST’s as a component, not as factory ammo. With my preferred AR Comp load in an 18” JP barrel and a 3x or 5x prism-not the ideal tool for shooting groups-am consistently between .8-1.0” at 100yds. Lots of history on the bullet’s effectiveness on game, though...

If you do decide to go beam, only one worth your consideration is a Parker tuned scale. I throw charge and trickle up on scale to right near the kernel-about 20 seconds for the whole process and my SD’s are very consistently under 10, often better, but there’s a lot of prep behind good numbers.

What’s the maximum OAL you can load to in a bolt gun, versus AR? I can possibly squeeze 2.28 in ASC mags, though not sure how bolt guns fare in this regard. If you can get 2.30-2.32 out of them, might make sense, as you could wring a bit more velocity without a pressure penalty, given lands...

One other issue I had with Casull was that it was short throated. Perhaps that’s been resolved more recently. To get any cast bullet with any more than a minimal front shoulder band to chamber properly, you’d have to deep seat and apply a heavy crimp on that band. Think NEI 310 Keith style...
