My goal is just to get him comfortable behind the gun. It doesn't matter to me if it is right handed or left handed. Do you use right or left handed bolt guns?

Thanks for the info. I did receive the plastic washers. I had watched older videos about diy zero stops, so I thought it was funny that they include them with the scope now.
