Who are the “go to’s” to have barrel blanks machined to IMPACT action prefits?

Who are the current smith(s) or shop(s) that are the “go to’s” to get a couple of barrel blanks I have on hand to get machined and chambered into prefits for an Impact precision action? I’ve been out of the PRS game for a few years and am easing back into it. I’m not in a super rush for...

Grendel AR15 vs AR10 and a trigger question

Not to jump topic but what's the shortest barrel you can go with the fat rat and still get the necessary velocity you need? I think it'd be a hell of an interesting round but I'd want to run it suppressed and don't want a 30 plus inch barrel (with can).

JP LRP-07 6.5CM, lots of questions

THis is my goal as well. I would like to keep it under 10 lbs and still have a buttstock that is solid and feels good in prone. Oh so many options, so little time.

JP LRP-07 6.5CM, lots of questions

You should work for SLR because you sold me on the SLR gas block. Sounds like something I will need to buy. :) KIBA: Is there any timeline as to when JP will be coming out with modified bolts for their 6.5 family of rifles?

JP LRP-07 6.5CM, lots of questions

I like the looks of the TACMOD but a quick google search says it weighs 29.2 ozs wheras the PRS weighs in at 30.4 oz for entire buttstock with tube, etc. Im not so sure there is much of a difference at all but i really like how adjustable the tacmod with tilt, etc.

JP LRP-07 6.5CM, lots of questions

I have debated the 260 vs 6.5CM thing now for months. After lots of internet searches, I found most people leaned to the 6.5CM for semi auto platforms just because the 260 needs to be seated long to get the most out of it. Truthfully though, I wonder in a semi auto platform if it really...

JP LRP-07 6.5CM, lots of questions

Alright, I have read every topic I can on the rifle and caliber, now I am hoping to condense some questions into one topic, for not only myself, but other semi auto guys who might be contemplating the LRP-07 and 6.5CM. I am about ready to order an LRP-07 for long range shooting, varmint...

Ejector Spring for GAP non-typical rifle

I have a GAP non-typical on a short action Templar action (Defiance machine). The ejector is no longer throwing the case out of the receiver, rather the case is being pulled out of the chamber and just staying attached to the bolt face as you work the bolt back. So with that, what ejector...

    NEMO Omen

I've handled (not shot) an Omen and after looking at the rifle and the price tag, I just couldnt understand why someoen would buy it. For the kind of money they want for the thing, it better make my GAP 338LM seem inferior. Unfortunately its the exact opposite. Its more expensive then my GAP...

Slide fire VS True Full Auto: One more controllable than the other?

I've not shot a slidefire but the design would dictate that it would not be nearly as controllable as a full auto. With the FA, you are firmly holding the rifle into your shoulder, and controlling the weapon at all times. With the slidefire, you are truly "bump firing," meaning you are pushing...

Help decide on caliber for GAP-10

Its truly a flip of the coin kind of proposition. I too have debated this same thing. The 260 and the 6.5cm are both a wonderful cartridge. Either will perform very well. I personally like the idea of Lapua brass for the 260 but then again, with the 6.5CM gaining such popularity, its a...
